We take inspiration from Waterford’s history
To commemorate the marriage of Strongbow and Aoife we have created these period-correct rings, taking influences from Viking jewellery found locally. They’re made from the oldest antique gold we could source.
Strongbow & Aoife
The Marriage of Strongbow and Aoife is an oil-on-canvas painting by Daniel Maclise, painted in 1854. It is owned by and on permanent display in the National Gallery of Ireland, Dublin. It is believed that the couple was married in Reginald’s Tower, Waterford, in august of 1170.
